B. Impaired Fasting Glucose:

Fasting blood glucose level of equal to or more than 6.1 mmol/l but less than 7.0 mmol/l is labelled as impaired fasting glucose.

C. Impaired Glucose Tolerance:

A fasting glucose level of equal to or more than 6.1 mmol/l but less than 7.0 mmol/l and a glucose level 2 hours after 75 gram oral glucose ingestion of equal to or more than 7.8 mmol/l but less than 11.1 mmol/l is labelled as impaired glucose tolerance.

D: Suggested:

All those with impaired fasting glucose must be offered oral glucose tolerance test and a glucose level of more than 7.8 mmol/l but less than 11.1 mmol/l is labelled as impaired glucose tolerance and glucose level of more than 11.1 mmol/l is diagnostic of diabetes mellitus.
